Guests of the 9th World Biennial of Student Photography are students and professor of the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, BiH
The ninth edition of the World Biennial of Student Photography will host eight students from the Department of Photography and Multimedia and full professor Ivan Hrkaš.
As part of their visit, the students will learn about the work of the photography department at the Novi Sad Academy of Arts. Also, with Novi Sad students, they will begin on a long-term photography project through which the students will get to know each other better and exchange experiences from the environments they come from. The joint photography project will be aimed precisely at bringing the cultures of Sarajevo and Novi Sad closer together.
The visit will be marked by a workshop held by full professor of photography Ivan Hrkaš on the topic “How does the development of technology and globalization affect intimacy, interpersonal relationships and the spaces we live in?”.
“The purpose of the workshop is to open a discussion on whether and how globalization and the rapid development of technology are destroying interpersonal relationships and places, spaces that are important for our culture and heritage. Something that future generations may not be able to experience, witness and understand. This emphasizes the importance of documenting and “preserving” a time and way of life that is fading more and more.” – Ivan Hrkaš
The workshop will be held from December 19 to 22, 2023, in the premises of the Department of Photography, and the works created at the workshop will be published on the website of the Biennial and on the social networks of the Department of Photography and the Academy of Arts.
Gosti 9. Svetskog bijenala studentske fotografije
– studenti i profesor Akademije likovnih umjetnosti u Sarajevu, BiH
Deveto izdanje Svetskog bijenala studentske fotografije ugostiće osam studenata sa katedre za Fotografiju i multimediju i redovnog profesora Ivana Hrkaša.
U okviru njihovog gostovanja studenti će se upoznati s radom departmana fotografije na Akademiji umetnosti Novi Sad. Takođe, s novosadskim studentima započeće rad na dugoročnom fotografskom projektu kroz koji će se studenti međusobno bolje upoznati i razmeniti iskustva iz sredina iz kojih dolaze. Zajednički fotografski projekat biće usmeren upravo na približavanju kulture Sarajeva i Novog Sada.
Gostovanje će obeležiti radionica koju će održati redovni profesor fotografije Ivan Hrkaš na temu „Kako razvoj tehnologije i globalizacija utiču na intimu, međuljudske odnose i prostore u kojima boravimo?“.
„Svrha radionice je da otvorim diskusiju na temu da li i kako globalizacija i ubrzan razvoj tehnologije uništavaju međuljudske odnose i mjesta, prostore koji su od važnosti za našu kulturu i baštinu. Nešto što buduće generacije možda neće biti u prilici da iskuse, svjedoče i razumiju. Ovo naglašava važnost dokumentovanja i „čuvanja„ vremena i načina života koji sve više blijedi.“ – Ivan Hrkaš
Radionica će se održati od 19. do 22. decembra 2023. godine u prostorijama katedre za fotografiju, a radovi nastali na radionici biće objavljeni na sajtu Bijenala i društvenim mrežama departmana fotografije i Akademije umetnosti.
